Instead of grabbing a muffin or a doughnut, how about one of these healthy cookies for breakfast or anytime.
BREAKFAST BANANA HANDFUL COOKIES
3/4 C SHORTENING OR BUTTER
1/2 C SUGAR
1/2C BROWN SUGAR
2- EGGS
1 TSP VANILLA
2 MASHED BANANAS
2 C OATS
2 C FLOUR, half wheat if you like.
1 C INSTANT DRY MILK
1/2 TSP SEA SALT
1 TSP BAKING POWDER
1 TSP BAKING SODA
1/2 C WHEAT GERM OR BRAN - optional
NOW YOU CAN ADD WHAT EVER YOU LIKE - SUNFLOWER SEEDS, RAISINS , NUTS, ANY DRYED FRUIT.ABOUT A HANDFUL OR SO.CREAM TOGETHER BUTTER AND SUGARS. ADD EGGS ,VANILLA TILL FLUFFY. STIR IN BANANAS AND SET ASIDE. IN ANOTHER BOWL MIX REMAINING INGREDIENTS TOGETHER THAN ADD TO WET MIXTURE.MIX WELL. DROP BY TBLS ON TO COOKIE SHEET.
BAKE AT 350 FOR ABOUT 14 MIN.
